2018 October 03 Wednesday

2018 October 03 Wednesday in Austin and Liberty Hill Texas

71° at 6 a.m. 87° at 1 p.m. and 77° at 9 p.m.

Grandies* lasted from 9:00 a m until about 12:15. We celebrated this month's birthdays and anniversaries. After our business meeting and roll call, we played Bridge or Canasta.

After Grandies ten of us went to Dahlia's for lunch.

Ella and I went to the Stocktank RV park. With some help from friends we got our fifth wheel trailer onto it's new home, lot 110.

It was around 3:30 when we headed back into Austin. We cleaned up at Arik and Jennie's house. We packed up our stuff, thanked Jenny for her hospitality, got hugs from her and our grandkids

Cross Tracks Church has choir practice every Wednesday night. Tonight they also head their monthly celebration of birthdays and anniversaries. Celebration included a catered message. After eating we went to the chapel to practice music for upcoming events including the Christmas cantata.

Then it was back to our RV to put things away.

*Grandies sign and send greeting cards with inspirational messages to those serving in the military, the sick or homebound and church members celebrating happy milestones like birthdays and graduation. Since this ministry started, more than 3,300 cards have been sent! There are many other social ministries in which this group of 50+ age people participate.

G’nite y’all!
